FUNDRAISING

Along with County support and grants, we count heavily on donations and fundraisers to help the Station 6 Firehouse pay for all the required maintenance and upkeep on the trucks, equipment, and the Station. Not surprisingly, it is extremely costly to run such a large operation. The money we bring in from our fundraisers and the donations we receive from the community go a long way toward making it possible for us to continue our important work in the community.

Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, we host various functions that the community can enjoy while bringing in much-needed funding to Station 6.

Our largest annual fundraising event is held every year early on the second Saturday in November.

The members of our community have been instrumental in maintaining the Hinton Volunteer Fire Department through their donations. We greatly appreciate any and all support that you have given and continue to give to allow us to continue protecting and serving the citizens of Pickens County.

Station 6 was Built entirely from Community Donations

Donations are always appreciated and are tax deductible. For your convenience while shopping for your farm and garden needs, Hinton Milling accepts donations for Station 6 and keeps a jar labeled for that purpose on the counter next to the register. You may also mail in donations directly to the Station (address is on the Contact Page).

and A Good Time Was Had by All ...

Every year our community helps to support the important work we do at Hinton Volunteer Fire & Rescue while enjoying a wonderful family outing, a good meal, music, friends and fun. All proceeds from the drawing benefit the Hinton Volunteer Fire Department.

Cash Prizes are also awarded to the runners-up.

In Memory of ...

A lovely landscaped park area was created at the very front of the Station 6 property with a comfortable bench and plantings artistically arranged all around to allow for some quiet rest and reflection. A bronze memorial plaque has been placed there to honor two of our esteemed benefactors.
